Tyson Fury comes up with nickname for Dillian Whyte after rival snubs face-off

Tyson Fury branded heavyweight rival Dillian Whyte "Frillian Whyteknickers" after he failed to show up for their first face-off.

Fury and Whyte are due to clash at Wembley on April 23 after Frank Warren won the purse bid with a £31million offer.

Whyte has stayed silent since then and only signed his contract for the fight with hours to spare last month.

He then refused to fly from his training base in Portugal to the press conference in London.

And Fury trolled his opponent, saying: "He is called Thrillian Whyteknickers, because he is as soft as what it says in the title.

"All this social media stuff he has shown his colours today, he gets upset and causes a ruckus, now he has given me that much more confidence.

"The way he is going on about it, because he will see that fire in my eyes and think he is getting killed.

"It is fear and it is terror, it is all of the above and I don’t blame him for not being here. I’d be remanded in a London jail as I would have stretched him.

"Tyson Fury vs his own shadow will sell. I am very confident, I am not a down to earth fellow I am on top of the world fellow. There is not even 1 percent doubt I am not going to annihilate Dillian Whyte.

"I believe that I can beat Dillian Whyte with one hand tied behind my back and one foot off the floor. For me it is just another fight to a milestone. I am not interested in people rate me because when I finish boxing it’s done for me. I have had my five minutes of fame."

Fury has been pining for Whyte to play his part in the build-up, frequently posting on social media in a bit to provoke his rival.

Whyte has waited for the fight since first becoming the WBC Silver champion in 2017, but is yet to break his silence on the all-British clash.

And Fury admitted he is surprised at his challenger's stance in not turning up the to the conference, but is ever-confident of winning the fight.

“We eat sleep and train boxing.," he added. "They are always dangerous and all have a puncher's chance. So I always put a lot of pressure on myself and if I can’t look like Muhammad Ali boxing this guy then I’m not as good.

“You are going to see the Ferrari facing the Vauxhall Corsa. I'm not saying Dillian Whyte isn’t dangerous but there is a gulf in class. If I am bad enough to get hit off him then I don’t belong to be world champion

“How many £250,000 can we fit in £8million... 32 times his biggest payday he should be here today kissing my feet and washing them. His only payday he will get in his life, he is very lucky to receive this money and the only thing he is won just the British title.

"Where were you? When Tyson Fury smashed this guy to pieces in the biggest All-British fight since Frank Bruno. I know Dillian Whyte is going to come in prepared and game, who knows it could be me chinned?

"If I land one Lancaster Bomber on his jaw between round one and six, I am looking to sing and have a good time afterwards."
