Tyson Fury claims Oleksandr Usyk will be easier to beat than Derek Chisora

Tyson Fury doubts Oleksandr Usyk will be able to withstand the same punches that Derek Chisora did in their trilogy bout.

Heavyweight champion Fury is expected to meet unified champion Usyk in an undisputed clash next year following the Brit's latest title defence against Chisora earlier this month. In a fight that many fans didn't want to see, Fury stopped Chisora in the 10th round having already beaten his rival in 2011 and 2014.

Usyk went the distance with Chisora in his second heavyweight fight after moving up from undisputed status at cruiserweight. 'The Gypsy King' has insisted his fight against Usyk won't be tough and cited the Ukrainian's clash with Chisora as proof that he will beat him decisively.

"I don't think it is a tough fight," Fury told iFL TV. "I don't think it's nowhere near as tough as old Del Boy. He will not stand up to those punches that Derek did against me. When I watch the fight between him and Derek, whether people want to admit it or not, it was a 50/50 fight. It might have been 55/45, but it wasn't a landslide. It wasn't like he didn't win a round, like he didn't against me."

Usyk won the unified heavyweight belts in just his third fight at the weight class by outpointing Anthony Joshua in their first meeting last September before beating the Brit in their rematch. Fury wants the Middle East to host his undisputed clash with Usyk and then rematch the Ukrainian in England, but he is also open to their first fight taking place in the UK.

"There's not a man born that can beat me and I'll stand and prove it against anybody," Fury added. I've proved it time and time again, I'm right there on my own. I've seen people like Usyk many times before, smaller man that come up a weight to fight the heavyweight champion and 99 per cent of the time they get roughed up.

"You can never underestimate anybody but from where I am in my life at the moment, I would want to take him out quite quickly. I'd like to get him in there in February, make an example out of him, then give him a rematch at Wembley. If the Middle East can deliver like they've said, we'll do it there and if not we'll do it in England at Wembley because I can deliver in this country."
