Tyson Fury claims Anthony Joshua has "lost $90million" as heavyweight row continues

Tyson Fury has mocked Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn for losing out on a supposed $90million as the drama at the top of the heavyweight division rolls on.

Fury and his mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte were supposed to have purse bids take place for their WBC heavyweight title fight this evening, but they were delayed again in an effort to get their teams to come to a deal by Friday.

The situation has been complicated by an offer from the Middle East to allow Fury to fight Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed title, which would require step aside deals for both Whyte and Joshua.

Fury has mocked Joshua and his promoter Hearn for their poor business dealings amid talks of the offer, saying in an outlandish Instagram post: "Had to do this video.

"Eddie Hearn and Anthony Joshua have to be the worst damn businessmen in history!

"Today they lost $90m, goddamn sons of b****es, crazy!"

It is unclear what Fury was referring to, as Joshua's step aside deal is reported to be closer to £20m, or $27m, although fights in the Middle East are known to have massive money put into their staging.

Fury has also told Whyte that he must "take his beating" after purse bids for their mandated heavyweight title fight were pushed to Friday in the fourth change of date.

Whyte is the mandatory challenger for Fury's WBC heavyweight title, but a number of factors are currently getting in the way of a fight being made between the two.

"Time to step up and take your beating," Fury wrote in an Instagram story directed at Whyte.

Joshua is currently mulling over an offer to step aside, but there is a logistical issue with both he and Whyte entitled to the first shot at the winner.

Whyte is the WBC mandatory challenger, and has been for a number of years barring a brief period in 2020 where he lost the spot, only to win it back last March.

But Joshua is contractually obligated to get a rematch with Usyk for his WBA, WBO and IBF belts after their bout last September.

And Hearn has said that an offer is on the table, but no deal has been made as yet.

“There has been an offer," Hearn said in an interview with the DAZN Boxing Show. "There have been several discussions with myself.

"I can’t rule it out, it’s not my job. AJ is the boss. He’s very smart about the plan. He won’t want to do it.

“Anthony has never ducked anyone, he won’t want to let one person think he’s ducking that challenge.

"Sometimes you have to think with your head; there is a smart play here somewhere, but Anthony is not about the money."
