Tyson Fury sunk beers on a garden bench at 7am to celebrate his win over Dillian Whyte.
The WBC champion successfully defended his title with a KO win over British rival Whyte at Wembley in April. Fury had stated prior to the fight that it would be his last outing in the boxing ring and spent time away from the sport to celebrate his career achievements.
Fury has been known to enjoy partying and held an after-party with his family and friends in a plush Essex drinking spot days after the win. However prior to the meet-up with his family, Fury revealed he ditched his plans to attend a nightclub on the night of the win and resorted to drinking with his coach Sugar Hill Steward.
"There was no party that night," Fury wrote in his latest autobiography Gloves Off when describing events after the fight. "Rather than racking up a huge nightclub bar tab, we drove from Wembley to our Letchmore Heath hotel, only stopping at a petrol station to buy a packet of sweets and a four-pack of beer – one for me, one for Dad, one for Tommy and one for SugarHill. By the time we arrived back at base camp, everyone was shattered.
"I ordered a delivery pizza that never showed and went to bed, hungry but satisfied, and when I woke the following morning and looked from my window I saw a lone figure sitting on a bench in the hotel garden. Was he drinking from a bottle of whisky? I checked my watch. It was 7am. Bit early, I thought. Then when I looked again, I realised the bloke on the bench was SugarHill. I stuck my head out of the window. ‘What are you doing?’
"SugarHill turned and waved the bottle at me. ‘I’m celebrating,’ he said. ‘We didn’t do it last night, so I’ve started this morning.’ ‘Right. Hold tight, pal. I’m coming down.’ I took a couple of beers from the mini bar and joined SugarHill for a weird moment of reflection on that hotel garden bench. He’d found a quiet spot in front of a pond. I sat down next to him and cracked open the first drink. SugarHill nodded and we toasted, our bottles clinking."

Fury then discussed his future with Steward while on the park bench admitting it can be hard to deal with the routine of normal life after reaching such a high with his victory. Fury's narration continued: "‘You calmed down, man?’ he said. ‘Nah, it takes me a while to get back to normal. Probably about two weeks because I’ve been on such a high, gearing up for the fight.
"I’ve got to go from the buzz of winning in front of that crowd last night, Wembley Stadium, to doing the school run with the kids in Morecambe, or going to the shops and back.’ I took a swig of beer. 'I get depressed after these fights'."
Fury has since U-turned on his decision to retire and will fight Derek Chisora for a third time when they clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3.
