Tyson Fury has challenged world champion Oleksandr Usyk in a foul-mouthed blast after the Ukrainian saw off Anthony Joshua to retain his heavyweight belts - just months after Fury declared he was done with boxing.
Joshua lost on split decision in Saudi Arabia as Usyk defended his heavyweight titles, beating Joshua for a second time after the Ukranian also successfully saw off the British fighter last September. Moments after Usyk's hand was raised, Joshua also appeared irate lifting two of the champion's belts, throwing them out of the ring and then arguing with the opposing team during Usyk's celebration.
He then picked up the microphone and went on an expletive-filled rant covering everything from the fight, his career, the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, before eventually asking the crowd to cheer for the victor. Fury appeared to be lapping up the dramatic night of boxing as he offered his take after the bout.
Fury appears to be the natural next contender to face heavyweight champion Usyk next, but the 34-year-old had stated he would retire from boxing after knocking out Dillion Whyte in April. However, he appeared to pull back on that as he declared on Twitter "THE GYPSY KING IS HERE TO STAY" before slamming the two fighters.
He said: “I’ll be honest with you guys, after watching that, both of them were s****! It was one of the worst heavyweight title fights I have ever seen. It was b*******.
“Come on! I would annihilate both of them on the same night, f****** s**** Get your f****** chequebook out, because the Gypsy King is here to stay forever!”
