Tyson Fury branded "bi-polar" by Derek Chisora in row over £2m offer for trilogy

Derek Chisora has dismissed Tyson Fury’s claims he rejected £2million for their trilogy fight, claiming “the guy is bi-polar”.

Fury claims he offered Chisora’s management team £2million to face him again and then confirmed his retirement when he turned him down. Chisora feels this is just a smokescreen from the WBC heavyweight champ and says he has already signed to fight the winner of Anthony Joshua ’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed crown.

The former world heavyweight title challenger does not believe Tyson’s claims that he has quit and is adamant he will fight again. “The guy is bi-polar bro, that’s all I can say,” said Chisora, who is out in Jeddah, supporting his pal Joshua. “He doesn’t know what he wants to do.

“We will see him fight again, but I don’t know if it will be against me. The Saudis have a two-fight deal with AJ, Usyk and Fury. This and then the winner fights Fury for undisputed." Fury claimed on social media that he wants to fight Chisora again at Old Trafford and he has already beaten him in 2011 and 2014.

The Gypsy King said: “I see Derek Chisora has been having a little pop, licking his wounds after losing £2million. God Almighty! What a mistake! You’re probably going to get £375,000 for your next fight and your management team turned down £2million.”

Chisora is with Joshua’s management team, 258 MGT, and he has told his mate he can only beat Usyk by stopping him.

He feels Joshua has no chance of regaining his WBA Super, IBF and WBO belts if he tries to outbox Usyk like he did when he lost their first fight 11 months ago. “It has to be a knock-out,” he said. “It won’t be on points, it has to be a knock-out. I showed you can cause Usyk problems, but you have to be fit, you have to go to the other side. He’s going to have to go there to get his titles back.”

Chisora has seen Joshua in the gym under his new trainer Robert Garcia and says he is more aggressive. “You only have to look at his public work-out this week and his last one to see the difference,” he said. “This time he’s more intense, he wants to hurt him. There’s more aggression now and you’re going to see that on Saturday.”

“Listen, he’s worked hard, he’s kept himself away from everything, he knows what he did wrong on that night so he’s coming to come back and sort it out. He wants to put things right.”
