Frank Bruno thinks the lack of promotion for Tyson Fury 's world heavyweight title fight with Dillian Whyte has been sad for fans.
Fury and Whyte's domestic clash makes the first all-British heavyweight title fight since Bruno fought Lennox Lewis in 1993. Despite the enormity of the fight, Whyte has refused to take part in any interviews outside of his contractual obligations.
'The Bodysnatcher' is expected to be in London next week for the pre-fight press conference, but Bruno thinks it's sad that the challenger hasn't been more willing to sell the fight during his preparations.
"It's very very sad," Bruno said. "You've got to put bums on the seats by doing press conferences. It’s sad for the UK fans that Dillian hasn’t been getting too involved. It’s usually part of the deal and contract,

"Frank Warren is very on the ball with all this stuff so if he has done it right then he will probably be able to fine him, it seems crazy to not be working to get more bums on seats. It just seems a bit sad.
"Maybe Dillian is staying away from Tyson because he knows what he would be up against, Tyson pesters all of his opponents, calls them all ‘bums and dossers’ and whatever else. Dillian maybe doesn’t need to get mad and rave up.
Fury mocked Whyte at the announcement press conference for the fight last month by staring off with himself. 'The Gypsy King' has downplayed Whyte's involvement in the fight selling out Wembley and thinks all the credit should be placed on him instead.
"It was only the announcement press conference, it wasn't the actual press conference for the fight. It was months away from the fight and both of us had to go into training camps, so it didn't really mean much," Fury said. "I thought I single-handedly it pretty well myself, sold out Wembley on my own. I'm sure the fight week press conference, we'll be talking to each other then."
Whyte thinks that many people are discrediting his role in the fight selling a record-breaking 94,000 tickets. He insisted the fight is not 'the Tyson Fury show' and pointed to his opponent's trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder last October, which didn't sell out, as an example of this.
Interim champion Whyte has waited over 1,000 days for his first world title shot and will enter the ring next week as a considerable underdog over the undefeated favourite Fury.
