Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora in lengthy staredown after weighing in for trilogy

Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora shared a lengthy staredown as the pair tipped the scales ahead of their heavyweight trilogy clash.

The 'Gypsy King' will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Chisora tomorrow night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as he looks to set up an undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk. Fury has already faced Chisora twice beating him back in 2011 and 2014, and will go into the contest as the favourite for the vast majority tuning into the clash.

Fury tipped the scales at 268lb while his heavyweight rival Chisora weighed in 8lb lighter at 260lb, as the pair prepare to do battle tomorrow night. The pair then endured another lengthy staredown as they tried to continue the mind games on the final day of the fight week, while being roared on by the crowd at the event.

The champion is excited for the opportunity to take on Chisora and has refused to under-estimate his former two-time rival who has lost twelve fights in his career. “Whoever fights Derek Chisora is in for a f***ing good fight," Fury said. "That’s what we know. That’s what we prepared for. And he was available and ready to rock n’ roll. He stepped up to the plate, and bang, here we are. There’s going to be a throwdown for the fans right before Christmas.

“I needed to fight this year regardless of who it was. I love fighting. I always need to fight. I wish I could fight every single month of my life. Derek’s the same. We love to fight. So, if we could fight 12 times next year, that’d be fantastic. Come Saturday night, there’s no friendship. There are no friends in business, and this is a business transaction.

"So, we’re going to go in there, punch the fuck out of each other, and then afterward we can have a nice little sandwich, a nice cup of tea, whatever he wants. Not a problem. But while we’re in there, we’re in fight mode. We’re going to put on a great show."

Chisora is relishing the opportunity and has vowed to deliver the best first round in heavyweight history alongside his former rival. "On Saturday I'm going to go to war," Chisora said. "There's no two ways about it. I want to take what's his and make it mine. Physically and mentally.

"I can guarantee you, you are going to love the whole show we are going to put up. It's not going to be stinker, it's going to be a great fight. All these guys in the game don’t want me to be on this stage. But, come Saturday, I can guarantee you this: friendship will be out of the door. Me and this big man are going to get it on. I’m not going to try to hold back on anything."
