Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Tyson Campbell suffered a right hamstring injury in the second quarter of the team’s Week 6 game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The injury happened on a Colts punt with Campbell running down the sideline. While the third-year cornerback doesn’t typically play on special teams, the Jaguars had their starting defense on the field on a fourth-and-short situation to guard against the possibility of a fake punt.
Campbell went into the locker room after being worked on by trainers on the sideline. The Jaguars have called the cornerback questionable to return.
With Campbell out of action, the Jaguars put second-year cornerback Montaric “Buster” Brown in the game on the ensuing possession. The team has just four cornerbacks on the active roster after moving Christian Braswell to the injured reserve.
Campbell was a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL draft and has missed only two games in his career, both during his rookie year. In 38 career games, he has six career interceptions and 174 tackles.
