Tyrone legend's stunning medal haul immortalised by local Gaelic sports store

He was an integral member of the all-conquering Tyrone side of the noughties, but Philip Jordan’s medal haul is staggering when they are seen together.

The Moy native enlisted the help of Begley’s Sports in Dungannon to produce a medal board to display his impressive collection amassed during a glittering playing career.

As well as winning three All-Ireland senior titles with the Red Hands in 2003, 2005 and 2008, Jordan won a Sigerson Cup with Queen’s in 2000 and has a MacRory Cup runners-up medal (1997) from his days playing for St Pat’s Grammar School Armagh.

The all-action wing-back was also part of Mickey Harte’s All-Ireland-winning Minor side of 1998 and he followed it up with an U21 All-Ireland with Tyrone in 2001.

Tyrone also won the National League title in 2002 under Art McRory and Eugene McKenna - a title they retained in 2003 in Harte’s first year in charge.

Jordan also won four Ulster titles (2003, 07, 09 and 2010) and is a four-time GAA All-Star having been included in 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2010 selections.

He retired from inter-county football at the end of the 2011 season and a succession of injuries meant he’d also retired from club duty by the time the Moy won the Ulster and All-Ireland Intermediate Club Championship in the 2017-18 campaign.
