Jalen Ramsey is unanimously viewed as one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL by media members and fans. The guys who face him on Sundays would agree, too.
Tyreek Hill, who played against Ramsey twice while Jalen was still with the Jaguars, put the Rams’ All-Pro among the best cornerbacks in the league. He was asked to name the top guys during an appearance on the Laugh Out Loud Network with Kevin Hart, and he put Ramsey up there with Xavien Howard, Chris Harris and Tre’Davious White.
“Some good d-backs, man,” Hill said. “Probably Xavien Howard, Miami Dolphins. He’s real good. Jalen Ramsey is at the top. Chris Harris from the Chargers. Tre White from the Buffalo Bills. Guys like that. There’s a lot of guys.”
In two games against the Jaguars when Ramsey was there, Hill caught a total of seven passes for 72 yards with no touchdowns on 12 targets. In the 2016 game, Hill was targeted once with Ramsey in coverage but didn’t catch the pass. In 2018, he was also targeted once when covered by Ramsey but the pass was dropped by Hill.
So in two games, Hill doesn’t have a catch against Ramsey, which is likely part of the reason he put the Rams corner in the upper echelon of players at the position.
