Tyreek Hill on Pace to Absolutely Smash Significant NFL Record Through Six Games

Tyreek Hill’s lofty preseason goals are within reach. The Dolphins speedster proclaimed he’d eclipse 2,000 receiving yards before the season started and he’s on pace to do just that and more.

After another electrifying performance in Week 6, Hill has tallied 42 catches for 814 yards and six touchdowns through six games. If he were to keep this pace for the rest of the season, he’d finish with 119 catches for 2,306 yards—making him the first player in NFL history to eclipse 2,000 receiving yards.

Before he even set foot on the field in 2023, he predicted this July

“All I’m going to say is 2,000 yards was on my bucket list to get bro before I leave this league,” Hill said on the It Needed To Be Said podcast. “Y’all think Cheetah gonna leave without doing something he promised himself he gonna do as a jit? I got ya’ll baby! 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl [win], we getting that, believe that. Thank you.”

Tyreek Hill has 814 yards through six games after saying he hopes to 2,000 for the 2023 season.

The single-season receiving record was set by Calvin Johnson in 2012 when he tallied 1,964 yards. Of course, “Megatron” did this back when there were just 16 games in a season. Given the extra game, Hill is on pace to obliterate the all-time mark.
