Tyreek Hill makes incendiary statements after Dolphins’ failed season

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the regular season with a meaningless loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday after clinching the No. 1 seed for the AFC playoffs on Christmas Day.

Despite their latest defeat, Kansas City’s players are prepared for the road ahead in the postseason, when Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs always seem to play their best.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was a key part of Kansas City’s Super Bowl LIV title run but sought greener pastures in the Sunshine State after his contract negotiations with the Chiefs fell through in 2022.

In retrospect, the All-Pro pass-catcher may have underestimated how brutally difficult it is to earn a spot in the playoffs with a less accomplished team, let alone compete seriously in the postseason.

During comments to the media after Miami’s loss to the New York Jets in Week 18, Hill did not mince words when discussing his future:

Perhaps Hill could have helped the Chiefs win more playoff games—or even Super Bowl titles—had he decided to negotiate a team-friendly deal with Kansas City’s front office in 2022.
