Tyreek Hill had spent his entire NFL career catching passes from arguably the most gifted passer the league had ever seen. So, it was always going to be an adjustment to go from Patrick Mahomes to Tua Tagovailoa.
But man, the Dolphins didn’t do Tua any favors this week.
In an effort to hype up Dolphins fans about the new offensive duo, the team shared a practice video of Tua throwing a wobbly and underthrown pass to Hill. Everyone noticed how embarrassing the video was and promptly roasted the Dolphins for the horrible idea.
Hill has seen those tweets, and on Thursday, he had a message for NFL fans about Tua’s arm. He’s not too concerned about practice throws.
Can y’all chill or nah ? We talking about practice 😬😬😬 @Tua 🥱#Dimez # Uno #soulrunner pic.twitter.com/HO6QnRuZxD

Hill shared a video of Tua throwing better passes at Dolphins practice. And while those passes cleared the low bar of the first video, it wasn’t like Tua suddenly started airing out dimes from 60 yards. He’s still throwing short-to-intermediate passes like he has his entire career.
At the very least, though, Hill will be motivated to prove this new connection can work. We’ll see how long that lasts.
