Tyreek Hill Dominates Race at USA Track and Field Event

Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is spending the offseason similarly to how he spends the NFL season: leaving competitors in the dust.

The speedy pass-catcher stopped by a USA Track and Field event in Louisville Saturday afternoon — and cruised to victory in the 60-meter dash.

Hill outpaced four competitors in the USATF Masters Indoor Championships, running a 6.70 to best runner-up Dainen Brass by a little over half a second. The event, formerly only for runners 35 and over, is geared in Hill’s age bracket (25–29) toward athletes who have finished college and want to continue competing.

It was the first track meet Hill had entered in nearly a decade. The seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All-Pro gave up the sport after being dismissed from Oklahoma State, where he ran track and played football, due to a domestic assault arrest in Dec. 2014. In high school, he was routinely ranked among the best sprinters of his age in the United States.

Hill took the victory in stride in a post-race tweet.
