Tyreek Hill has repeatedly discussed why he left the Chiefs for the Dolphins when he forced himself there via trade in 2022. On more than one occasion, the wide receiver criticized the team for how he was used in the offense, but in a recent interview with Robert Griffin III, he took it a step further with some comedy.
Hill went as far as to joke that he left because he was frustrated not being Patrick Mahomes’s No. 1 guy on the team, playing second fiddle to All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce both on and off the field. He used creative metaphor to get his point across.
“Pat had Kelce, and I was kinda jealous,” Hill said on the RG3 and The Ones podcast. “I was hurt. Patrick, you ain’t never invite me over to your house like you did Kelce. You always invited Kelce. That’s why we’re here where we at now.
“I never been anybody’s side chick before,” he continued.

Hill went on to describe himself as the “main chick” as it pertained to all of his previous quarterbacks throughout his football career, saying he didn’t care for the “side chick” role in Kansas City.
