Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was listed as questionable for the team’s Monday Night Football game against the Los Angeles Rams. The reason was a wrist injury that has apparently been hampering him all season, and things weren’t made any better when he was detained just hours before kickoff of Week 1 in Miami.
Tyreek Hill Aggravated Wrist Injury During Arrest
Hill first injured the wrist during training camp. The Dolphins held a joint practice with the Washington Commanders back on August 15th, and it has apparently been nagging him ever since. He tweaked it last week in the Dolphins’ loss to the Buffalo Bills which caused him to be on the injury report for Monday, but he has been cleared and will play in the prime time matchup.
There was another incident which didn’t help in the healing process. Tyreek Hill was pulled over for what was reported as “wreckless driving” while he was commuting to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami ahead of the Dolphins’ Week 1 game against the Jaguars. Video showed the wide receiver being forcefully detained by police during the incident, and Hill’s agent has come out and said that the current wrist injury was aggravated at that time.

Dolphins Struggling Along With Hill
Both Hill and the Dolphins have struggled so far this season. They enter Monday night’s action with a 2-6 record, a severely disappointing start given their 2023 campaign, and are just a loss or two from being completely out of any postseason hope.
The wide receiver who led the NFL in yards and touchdowns a season ago currently ranks 39th in the yards category and has just one score so far in 2024. Since his solid performance in Week 1, Tyreek Hill has just 27 catches for 316 yards and 0 touchdowns in 7 games.
Despite being one of the biggest disappointments of the year and the road team for the contest, the Dolphins will be just 2-point underdogs when they take on the Rams on Monday night.
