Tyreece Scott: Two charged with murder following fatal stabbing in Hounslow

Two men have been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in Hounslow on Tuesday morning.

Tyreece Scott, 24, was found with wounds at around 1.15am after police were called to Grove Road and despite the efforts of the emergency services he died at the scene.

On Sunday afternoon, the Metropolitan Police said they had charged two men with murder - having arrested them both at Stansted Airport on Friday.

Ben Laing, 23, and from Feltham, and Duarra Abdi, 19, and from Acton, were charged with murder on Sunday, to appear on Monday at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.

That hearing is likely to be adjourned due to the severity of the case for a plea hearing at a later date.

The force added that Laing was also charged with being involved in the supply of drugs and Abdi was also charged with possession of a bladed article.

Mr Scott had been named as the victim at the point of the arrests.

Detective Inspector Ollie Stride, from the investigation team, said on Friday: “This is a significant development, however our investigation continues and we are still keen to hear from any witnesses who have not yet spoken to us."

A post-mortem examination carried out on Thursday confirmed Mr Scott died as a result of a stab wound to the chest.

“His family have been informed of this latest development and continue to be supported by family liaison officers,” the Met said in a statement.

Anyone with any information that could assist detectives is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 274/16Jan. Information can also be shared online.
