One of Northumberland's largest and most popular beer and cider festivals is set to return to its usual summer date for the first time since 2019.
The Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival returns for the 21st time on Friday June 17 - Sunday June 19 with over 120 beers, street food and live music at Tynedale Park in Corbridge. Organised by Tynedale Lions Club and Tynedale Rugby Football Club, the festival is not just a chance to enjoy locally-brewed ales and ciders, but also to raise money for good causes - with this year's charities being The People's Kitchen, the Hextol Foundation, Tynedale Hospice at Home and Tynedale Rugby Club.
Usually attracting around 5,000 visitors, its location just moments from Corbridge's railway station gets people travelling by train from Hexham, Newcastle and further afield. The festival has gone ahead during the pandemic, though in 2020 it was an online only event and in 2021 it was moved back to September in line with the Coronavirus restrictions at the time.

This year's festival also has a focus on music, with twelve acts playing over the course of the weekend. Not only that, but a new initiative called "The Big Gig" will see seven young local musicians and bands take to the stage on the Saturday.
Each band or musician will play a couple of songs and a winner will be chosen to open the festival on Sunday afternoon. There are also eight street food vendors from across the North East, activities for children and families including magicians, and the festival is dog-friendly - though organisers ask that they're kept on leads.
Ian Cave, chair of the Tynedale Beer & Cider festival committee, said: "After the uncertainties around the pandemic, it’s great for the festival to be back at Tynedale Park this June. We have an amazing array of beers and ciders on offer, along with a brilliant programme of live music, street food and more.
"We hope to raise even more funds for the good causes that we support which this year are The People’s Kitchen, Tynedale Hospice at Home and The Hextol Foundation. We welcome everyone to come down to Corbridge next weekend and join in the fun!"
