Ever since Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard requested a trade—and let it be known that he only wanted to play for the Heat—NBA fans have kept very busy playing the role of armchair general manager, trying to concoct a feasible swap to land the All-Star point guard in Miami.
For most speculating on what it would take for the Heat to acquire Lillard, that’s meant including budding star Tyler Herro in a prospective deal. Though with his latest offseason workout video, some Heat fans are now giving the idea of trading Herro away some pause.
A short clip of Herro knocking down three-pointer after three-point had fans on Twitter reconsidering including Herro in a hypothetical Lillard trade.

Herro, 23, was the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year in 2022 and has spent his entire career with Miami after the Heat selected him with the No. 13 pick in ’19. He’s averaged 20.4 points on 38.7% shooting on three-pointers over the past two seasons.
Herro suffered a broken hand during the first round of the playoffs this year and subsequently missed the rest of the team’s postseason run to the NBA Finals. He’s set to make $93 million over the next three seasons.
