Tyler Adams says his USA team probably got what they deserved against England after the two played out a 0-0 draw in Qatar to share the spoils in World Cup Group B. In what was a game that saw Gareth Southgate's side frustrate supporters as well as be frustrated by their opponents, USMNT captain Adams once again emerged with great credit having further strengthened his international reputation with the manner of his performance.
The USA impressed against Southgate's men, having the better chances in the match, including a terrific strike from man of the match Christian Pulisic which rocketed against the crossbar. Despite many feeling the Americans edged the contest and should have got three points which would really have upset things in Group B, Adams was more measured in his assessment after the game.
The Leeds United star was happy with the way his country stood up against England, but feels the result was a fair reflection of the contest. "I'm not sure if we deserved to win. It was probably a 50-50 game in the end," dams told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"They had some chances and so did we but we competed really well and we showed a lot of our quality. It was 100% like playing a Premier League, he added, 'if not a little bit more demanding. The quality of these players is unbelievable. We respect them a lot and I hope we continue to gain respect from games like that."
The USA now know a victory over Iran on Tuesday will be enough to see them into the last-16 of the tournament, and it could even send them throu7gh as group winners depending on the result of England's game against Wales. All four sides in the group go into the last round of matches with their place in the next round still up for grabs, although it will have to take a strange set of results to see the Three Lions eliminated.
"The job is nowhere done, added Adams. "We have to face a quality team against Iran. We need to be 100 percent mentally focused."
