TwoJeys, the cult Spanish men’s jewellery brand beloved by Dua Lipa and Justin Bieber (with a bustling Brewer Street outpost) has teamed up with fellow fashion countryman Zara for a collaboration that, alongside its signature Gen-Z-edged adornments, includes summer-fuelled denim, sleeveless tanks, knitwear and jackets.
“In the same way as TwoJeys started, the designs for this collection are based on the story of the contemporary cowboy,” say founders Biel Juste Calduch and Joan Margarit, who cooked up the brand during a road trip along Route 66.
“Creating full looks and top to bottom items that are aligned with our brand identity [was exciting]. We focused on creating simple but powerful pieces that are usually hard to find in regular stores, focusing on creating good patterns, shapes & finishings,” they say.
As for their top picks? “The cowboy mules are one of our favourite pieces, alongside the white leather jacket which was a must — the leather feels like it's from 30 years ago after all the treatments we have done.”
And as the cowboycore movement only continues — the latest recruit, joining Beyoncé and Bella Hadid, is none other than Malala Yousafzai who is pictured on horseback with a rodeo hat in the promotional campaign for comedy series We Are Lady Parts.
How have they delivered a new spin — “we are offering a cowboy mule, bringing the cowboy scene to summer and for all year round, in a different way.”
All welcome fodder for those keen to tap into the Cowboy Carter mood.
