Two young boys rushed to Glasgow hospital after being stabbed in East Kilbride street attack

Two teenage boys have been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in East Kilbride.

Police were alerted to reports of the stabbing at around 9:30pm last night (Friday) on Lickprivick Road.

The pair, aged 15 and 16, were rushed by ambulance to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Their present condition is unknown at this time.

Officers say that enquiries into the incident are ongoing and that they are following a positive line of enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Lickprivick Road, East Kilbride to reports of a stabbing at around 9.30pm on Friday.

“Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
