Two workers have been rescued after falling into a vat of melted chocolate at an American Mars factory in a Willy Wonka-style mishap.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Pennsylvania to help rescue the pair after being left unable to climb out of the giant tank.
The two men were left stuck in the waist-high chocolate tank and required assistance to get out.
Fortunately, they escaped uninjured as the Elizabethtown Fire Department came to the pair's rescue and recovered the workers from the vat.
The incident happened just before 2pm on Thursday 9 June with more than 24 firefighters dispatched to the scene.
Lancaster County said firefighters were in attendance for an hour before the pair were rescued and taken to hospital by helicopter to be checked over.
According to reports, a hole was cut into the tank in order for the two men to be able to escape. However, they were not 'not floating around in the chocolate' when they were released.
In a statement confectionary giant Mars said: "We can confirm both people have been taken offsite for further evaluation. We're extremely grateful for the quick work of first responders."
The factory is located 12 miles from Hershey in Pennsylvania and make a number of well-known products such as M&Ms and Dove chocolate.
The incident brings to mind the events of Roald Dahl's beloved 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in which a series of unpleasant children come to harm in the eccentric inventor Willy Wonka's sweets factory.
One character, named Augustus Gloop, falls into a river of chocolate before being sucked through a pipe - thankfully the Mars workers avoided such a fate.
