Two women and a man have pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm after a street disturbance where "serious injuries" were caused. All three pleaded guilty at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, May 3, and will be sentenced on July 12.
Gemma Plaskett, aged 34, from Bancroft Street, Bulwell, Arran Hamilton, 34, of Poppyfields, Marehay, Ripley, Derbyshire, and Claire Plaskett, 36, of Longmead Drive, Arnold, admitted the charge involving a lady.
Plaskett alone admitted a further charge of assault, causing bodily harm, on November 25, 2021, to a different woman after the incident in Bancroft Street, Bulwell, at around 11.45pm
Plaskett previously pleaded not guilty to an allegation of applying a corrosive fluid with intent on November 25 where it was said she unlawfully and maliciously "cast or threw at or upon" a female a corrosive fluid, namely, bleach, with intent to burn, maim, disfigure or disable or to do some grievous bodily harm to her. The charge of assault was accepted as an alternative by the prosecution.
Full details of the case against them and their mitigation will be heard when they are sentenced.
Judge Stuart Rafferty QC directed each defendant has a basis of plea uploaded to the system by Tuesday, May 17, which will be considered by the prosecution, before the case is listed for sentencing on July 12.
Pre-sentence reports will be done, which the judge said would be "all options". "There were serious injuries caused in this case and immediate custody cannot be ruled out," he added. The trio were bailed on the same terms, with conditions to cooperate with the preparation of reports.
