Two West Lothian schoolgirls go missing as police launch frantic search

Two West Lothian teen girls have been reported missing as Police Scotland launched a search appealing to the public for any information that may lead to their wherebouts.

The first teenager to be reported missing on Thursday was Kenzi Jade Law who was reported missing from the West Lothian area.

Police Scotland said: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a teenager reported missing in West Lothian.

"Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 1518 of 28/02/2022.

The 14-year-old, who lives in the area of Livingston, West Lothian, has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for her welfare.

Kenzi is described as 5 feet 0 inches, stocky build with long bleached blonde / auburn hair and speaks with a strong Northumberland accent.

She was last seen wearing a blue jumper, grey leggings and white Nike Air Max 95’s. The teen is also believed to be in the company of another missing teenager, Kodie Yates.

Constable Michael Fairbanks, based at Bathgate, said: "We're appealing to anyone who has seen Kenzi or has information about where she might go to contact us.

"It is understood Kenzi has links to the Merseyside and Northumberland area in England. "

The second teenage girl also reported missing from West Lothian and believed to be with Kenzi is Kodie Marie Yates.

The 15-year-old, who lives in the area of Falkland Fife, has not been seen since and there are growing concerns for her welfare.

Kodie is described as 5 feet 3 inches, slim build with long brown hair normally styled in a ponytail and speaks with a strong Merseyside accent.

She was last seen wearing a blue jumper, grey joggers and black sliders.

Constable Michael Fairbanks, based at Bathgate, said: "We're appealing to anyone who has seen Kodie or has information about where she might go to contact us.

"It is understood Kodie has links to the Merseyside area in England. "
