A crash on a busy Glasgow motorway has caused rush hour chaos for commuters.
Emergency services raced to the two-vehicle collision on the M8 westbound between junctions 11 and 12 in the east of the city at around 7am.
Paramedics attended the scene but it is not known if anyone has been injured in the smash.
Recovery has been arranged for both vehicles but rush hour traffic remains heavy in the area.
Traffic Scotland warned drivers the road was partially blocked and congestion remained due to the ongoing collision. In their latest update, they said traffic was heavy from junction 9 to 12 and junction 14 to 16.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of a crash involving two vehicles on the M8 westbound between junctions 11 and 12 in Glasgow around 7am on Monday, 24 October.
"Recovery has been arranged for the vehicles."
