Two teenangers have been arrested after an incident where a 60-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The man was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths in Heanor when the man was walking his dog close to Osborne's Pond, off Roper Avenue, in Shipley Park, just before 9 pm on September 2, say police.
Following the incident, Derbyshire police have arrested two boys, aged 14 and 15, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. They are currently in police custody, reports Derbyshire Live.
Officers have been at the scene, and a police cordon has been in place while police carry out their enquiries. Derbyshire police are urging anyone who may have information to come forward, and report it, quoting the crime reference number 22*512397 in any correspondence.
