Two teenagers have been charged in connection with a robbery at a Scots newsagents.
Police officers were called to the scene on Park Road in Kirkcaldy at around 9.30am on Thursday, February 24.
It is understood that during the incident a member of staff was threatened with a replica gun, believing it was real.
The 16-year-old and 13-year-old boys are both expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, February 25.
Local residents of the area have been thanked by Police Scotland for their assistance at the scene.
Detective Sergeant Michael Hogg from Levenmouth CID, said: “Around 9.30am on Thursday, 24 February, officers were called to a premises on Park Road, Kirkcaldy, following reports of a robbery.
“Two male youths, aged 16 and 13, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Both are expected to appear to Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, 25 February.
“We’d like to thank members of the local community for their assistance at the scene.”
