Following a tragic plane crash involving a Jeju Air aircraft in South Korea, two survivors have been confirmed. The survivors, identified as a male and a female crew member, were rescued from the tail section of the plane, which was the only part that retained some of its shape, according to Muan fire chief Lee Jung-hyun.
The survivors are currently receiving medical treatment at a nearby hospital. The fire chief described the scene, stating that 'Only the tail part retains a little bit of shape, and the rest of the plane looks almost impossible to recognize.'
Video footage and images from the crash site depict the mottled and charred remains of the aircraft, with most of it blackened from the fire. The tail section appears to be the only visibly intact part of the plane.
The incident has sparked an outpouring of support and concern from the public as investigations into the cause of the crash are underway. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
