More than 20 restaurants across the UK have been added to the Michelin Guide this January - including two Scottish eateries.
According to the Michelin website, Amuse by Kevin Dalgleish in Aberdeen and North Port in Perth were among the inspectors' "favourite new restaurants" this month.
The former offers a fine dining experience in a relaxed setting, using local produce to serve up "seasonal, ingredient led dishes which are packed full of flavour". Among the dishes on offer are 30 day aged fillet of Aberdeenshire beef, sautéed saddle of Inverness-shire venison, and crispy mushroom Kiev.
Commenting on Amuse by Kevin Dalgleish, the Michelin Guide wrote: "Kevin Dalgleish is a well-known chef in Aberdeen and his restaurant occupies the spacious basement of a granite townhouse, in a quiet residential neighbourhood yet just minutes from the city centre. Kick off with a drink in the bar or by the wood burning stove.
"The kitchen use prime Scottish ingredients blended with French techniques to create good-looking dishes that deliver on flavour."
Meanwhile, North Port uses "carefully selected" ingredients, provided by small and local growers, breeders, suppliers and foragers. Dishes include Portmahomack Pork Fillet, Falkland Farm Kuri Squash, and North Sea Plaice.
The Michelin Guide stated: "Located in an end of terrace cottage dating back to the 18C, this appealing restaurant blends its characterful, dark oak panelled walls and ceiling with a bright, contemporary look. Unfussy, modern cooking proudly name-checks Scottish ingredients and comes with plenty of flavour.
"Be sure to try their delicious homemade haggis."
Other restaurants newly added to the guide include Fletcher’s in Plymouth, The Twenty Two in London's Mayfair, The Bishop's Buttery in Cashel, and Blank in Belfast.
