With the summer holidays fast approaching, conveniently coinciding with the easing of lockdown restrictions enabling us to travel safely within the UK, it's time to start thinking about holidays.
The UK's newest online kids toy shop, PoundToy has compiled a list of the best family-friendly staycations in the UK to help with two Scottish locations named in the top 10
The research looked at six family-friendly factors such as number of outdoor activities, average summer temperature and green spaces, to determine which UK destinations are the best for families to visit on staycation this summer.

Loch Lomond and the Trossachs were named fourth in the top 10, with the popular holiday destination, which is known as the 'Gateway to the Highlands', being picked out for its stunning scenery and numerous activities.
The other Scottish entry, the Isle of Arran, placed in 7th, and was lauded for its high number of green spaces and an excellent range of kid-friendly outdoor activities.
Coming in first place was the Lake District, while Exmoor and Cornwall completed the top three.
A spokesperson for PoundToy said: "Even when the airports reopen and we can travel abroad there will still be many who have discovered the beauty upon their doorstep and, as such, it seems that the staycation is here to stay.
"Heading towards the second summer of socially distanced holidays at home we have compiled a list of some of the best destinations around the UK for families to visit this summer."
