Getting a Chinese has become a favourite of Scots, but two Scottish cities have taken the obsession to the next level.
Both Dundee and Aberdeen have been ranked in the top 10 of Chinese takeaway obsessed cities in the UK, with both northeast locations having more Chinese restaurants per person than any other Scottish city.
Dundee came sixth in the overall list and top in Scotland with 5,681 people per Chinese restaurant (26 in total) and Aberdeen in seventh with 6,344 people per Chinese restaurant (31 in total).
The study, conducted by entertainment experts Casino Guide researched each city within the UK based on how many Chinese takeaways are available via the Just Eat app.
Salford in England was singled out as top in the UK with a population of 72,750 and 16 takeaway restaurants available, meaning the city has the highest ratio of restaurants to people, proving how popular Chinese takeaway is in the City.
A spokesperson for Casino Guide said: "It is incredible to see how many cities share the same love for Chinese cuisine. Even the cities with smaller populations prove just how much Chinese restaurants are a pivotal part of people's enjoyment of getting a takeaway.
"Chinese food will always be one of the nation's favourite takeaways."
