Two police officers were taken to hospital after being stabbed in central London this morning.
The Metropolitan Police said the officers was attacked near the Leicester Square area at around 6am. Both are now being treated in hospital.
A male - who was arrested - is also in hospital, Metropolitan Police said. "Taser was deployed and a male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker", the force said.
"He was taken to a hospital for treatment where he remains at this time. Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing."
