Two police officers in Galloway Township, New Jersey, were hospitalized with injuries following an attack on Sunday night. The incident occurred when officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at a residence on Cresson Avenue around 8:30 p.m.
During their investigation of the call, both officers were assaulted by a suspect. One officer sustained a stab wound to the side of his face, while the other officer suffered a head injury. The identities of the officers have not been disclosed at this time.
Both injured officers were promptly transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division for medical attention. One officer is currently being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other has been discharged from the hospital.
