A lorry driver will be reported to the procurator fiscal following a multi-vehicle crash in Dumbarton this morning.
Two people have been taken to hospital after the incident on Stirling Road at around 9.15am near to the junction of Glasgow Road in Dumbuck.
Police Scotland say four vehicles were involved, including a lorry.
There were long traffic delays after the eastbound carriageway was blocked as a result.
A police spokeswoman said: “There was a report of a road traffic collision involving several vehicles at 9.15am on Stirling Road, Dumbarton, near to the junction with Glasgow Road.
"Emergency services attended and established four vehicles to be involved, one a lorry.
“The eastbound carriageway was blocked initially causing a significant build up of traffic.
“Two people have been taken to hospital as a precaution but it is not believed anyone has sustained serious injuries at this time.
“The driver of the lorry will be subject of report to the procurator fiscal for an alleged road traffic offence.”
The road has now been cleared and traffic congestion is now beginning to ease.
