Two people were taken to hospital after a car crashed into a stationary vehicle in Cardiff. The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, October 25, after a driver had a medical episode at the wheel.
The incident happened near The Hollybush Pub in Coryton at the junction of Pantmawr Road and Pendwyallt Road where the stationary vehicle was waiting. South Wales Police, the ambulance service and the fire service attended. A Welsh Ambulance spokesperson confirmed that two ambulances and two rapid response vehicles were called to the scene and two patients were then conveyed to University Hospital Wales in Cardiff.

The occupants in the stationary vehicle suffered minor injuries while there is no update on the condition of the driver who had a medical episode. A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police attended the scene of a road traffic collision at around 6.30pm last night involving two vehicles. It appears the driver of a car had a medical episode and collided with a stationary vehicle waiting at the junction of Pantmawr Road and Pendwyallt Road."
The force confirmed that the occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospital by ambulance.
