Two people are lucky to be alive after the car they were in plunged from a first-floor carpark onto a Dublin street.
The shocking incident happened in the city centre last night which ended up with the car upside down on the footpath at Baggot Street Upper.
A garda spokesperson confirmed that they are investigating the incident. “Gardaí are investigating a traffic incident that occurred on Baggot Street Upper, Dublin 4 at approximately 9.20pm on Sunday, July 9, in which a vehicle drove through the guard rail of a first-floor car park onto the footpath below,” the spokesperson said.

Both people who were in the car were rushed to St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin. It's understood they are not seriously injured.
Dublin Fire Brigade also rushed to the incident and emergency services managed to turn the vehicle upright, while an investigation into what caused the incident is ongoing.
