THREE people who died in a motorcycle crash in the Scottish Borders have been named.
Andrew Lartey, 29, and his pillion passenger, 23-year-old Georgia Tate, both from Newcastle-upon-Tyne, died in the crash between Bonchester Bridge and the Carter Bar on Sunday, July 28.
The rider of a second motorcycle, a 37-year-old man, also died in the collision.
Andrew and Georgia’s families have released a joint statement, saying: “We are devastated by the loss of Georgia and Andrew, they will be sorely missed by all who knew them.
“We ask for our privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
Police confirmed that the third person who died was 37-year-old Jason Gibbon, from Northumberland.
In a statement, his family said: "We are devastated of the loss of a much loved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend and devoted friend to many.
"He will be greatly, sadly missed. We are comforted by the messages from many. We would like to ask for the privacy to allow the family to grieve at this very difficult time."
Sergeant Barry Sommerville said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the all who died in this crash.
