Two people injured as cars collide on Gungahlin road

Two people have been treated on the scene of a two-car collision in Gungahlin.

The two cars collided on Flemington Road near Mapleton Avenue late on Sunday afternoon.

ACT Ambulance paramedics, as well as territory firefighters are on the scene where two people were treated for minor injuries.

Meanwhile, emergency services expect the northbound lane of Flemington Road to remain closed for a short time.

No light rail services were expected to be affected by crash and subsequent clean-up.

It caps a horror weekend on the territory's roads, with one motorcyclist killed and another hospitalised in separate incidents.

There have been seven deaths recorded on Canberra's roads in 2024.
