Two people have died after being struck by trains in separate incidents near Glasgow.
British Transport Police have confirmed that two people have sadly died following incidents near Bishopbriggs and Kilpatrick stations this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a casualty on the tracks at Bishopbriggs around 1.20pm where a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another casualty was reported on the tracks near Kilpatrick station around 4.29pm. They were also pronounced dead at the scene.
The line between Dalmuir and Dumbarton has since reopened with some delays still to be expected.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Bishopbriggs station at 1.18pm on 25 May following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
"Officers were called to Kirkpatrick station at 4.29pm on May 25 to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.”
