TWO people aged 75 and 66 have been arrested in the Highlands in connection with vandalism at the Trump Turnberry golf course earlier this month.
On March 8, activists targeted Donald Trump’s golf course in South Ayrshire in a protest over the US president’s position on Gaza.
On Wednesday, police arrested a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman following enquiries in Oban – which is more than 140 miles away from the course by road.

During the protest, activists dug up the greens and spray painting the words “Gaza is not for sale” across the lawn of the gold course.
Activists with Palestine Action said they targeted Trump’s golf course over the US administration’s plan “to ethnically cleanse Gaza”.
On March 12, a 33-year old man was arrested in connection with the vandalism, but was later released pending further enquiries.

We told how a private plane emblazoned with Trump livery touched down at Edinburgh Airport on March 13, before Eric Trump met with the First Minister in Bute House later that day.
The meeting, which lasted around 50 minutes, was entirely focused on business and did not involve a discussion on politics, the younger Trump said.
