Two Scottish pensioners have died in a horror crash on a Borders road on Saturday afternoon.
Police are now appealing for information following the smash on the A7 between Galashiels and Selkirk around 3:25pm on Saturday, November 26.
A man and a woman, aged 90 and 79 have passed away following the incident which shut the road for three hours.

Despite emergency services attending the crash at the junction with the B7060, involving a blue Ford Fiesta and a silver Honda Jazz, both casualties were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Sergeant Iain McIntyre said: “Our thoughts are with the families of the man and woman who died and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
“We are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch. Anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist with our investigation is also asked to contact us.”
