Welcome to watch list season Ohio State football fans.
From now until the start of the college football season, you’ll start to see the parade of watch lists for the national awards, and of course, we’re here to give you that content you didn’t even know you wanted.
To kick it all off from a player standpoint, the Maxwell Award, that goes to college football’s best player annually, unveiled its preseason watch list on Monday and two Buckeyes were among the 85 players mentioned.
Receivers Marvin Harrison Jr and Emeka Egbuka were given the early nod as two players to keep an eye on, and nobody should be surprised. Both receivers are coming off of years in which they went over 1,000 yards, and both are expected to be two of — if not the two best — college receivers this fall and first-round NFL draft picks.
The Maxwell Football club made the announcement on social media and if you are so inclined, you can check out the rest of the names below.
