Two Northern Territory police officers have been charged, and another arrested, over a range of offences, including one facing allegations of perverting the course of justice.
Two of the men, a 47-year-old and a 46-year-old, are now under investigation by Crime Command, NT Police said in a statement.
The 47-year-old man was arrested this morning.
Northern Territory Police said he was expected to be charged with unlawfully accessing data, disclosing confidential information, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice, and a number of other crimes.
He remains in custody, and it is understood NT Police will provide more information on the matter on Friday.
The 46-year-old man will face Darwin Local Court next Wednesday, after being charged with obtain benefit by deception.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old policeman in Katherine was bailed after being charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
He is under investigation by another body, the Professional Standards Command.
It is not clear whether any of the three matters are linked to one another.
