Two million more special alphabet 10p coins are set to enter circulation celebrating the “best of British”.
As part of the Royal Mint’s best of British collection, the special coins are set to be released this month.
The coins feature aspects of British culture on them, including James Bond, cups of tea and cricket.
It is the latest batch of coins celebrating the 'best of British' to be released after the Royal Mint first introduced them into circulation in March last year.
Twenty-six alphabet coins with individual designs are part of the collection.
Nicola Howell, at The Royal Mint, explained: “These 26 individually designed coins, each with a quintessentially British subject, is the first ever commemorative range struck on a 10 pence piece.
“It will be one of the most limited issue coin designs for 2019 to be released into circulation, so to complete the collection we also have an exclusively designed 2019 A to Z collector album.”
The alphabet coins can be bought as a full set, or individually in pouches.
The A to Z coins were first launched in March 2018 by the Royal Mint as a special set after the public were asked for their opinions on the most important symbols of British life.
Special recognisable images have been designed onto the coins. The James Bond coin, for example, has 007 on it, while the fried breakfast coin features eggs, bacon and sausages.
To purchase the full set, the Royal Mint are looking to charge £52.
