Two men were rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a "drug driving" crash.
Merseyside Police confirmed they were called to Upper Parliament Street at around 11.15pm yesterday after reports of a crash involving a black Audi A1 and a black taxi. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service attended and released a passenger from the taxi who was then taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
Another man was also taken to hospital with serious injuries. Following the crash, a 21-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. An investigation has been launched after road closures were in place on Hope Street, Upper Parliament Street and James Street while emergency services dealt with the incident.
