Two men have died after being run over by a ute on the NSW south coast, with police investigating whether they were lying on the road.
Emergency services were called to North Nowra about 7pm on Wednesday and found two men, aged 36 and 41, critically injured.
Bystanders rendered first aid until paramedics arrived but both men died at the scene.
“Officers attached to the South Coast Police District are investigating reports that the men may have been lying on the road when they were run over by a utility being driven by a 27-year-old man, ” NSW Police said in a statement.
The driver was taken to hospital to undergo mandatory testing.
