Gardai have launched an investigation after two men were allegedly stabbed in an incident in Newbridge, Co Kildare on Monday, August 8.
Gardaí rushed to the scene after reports of an attack on two men on James Lane, just off Eyre Street in Newbridge on Monday afternoon. Local reports suggest the men were stabbed by another man.
Ambulance services also rushed to the scene to attend the injured men. The incident occurred at 12.30pm in broad daylight, not far from the Peter McVerry Trust premises on Eyre Street in the town.

It's understood at least one of the men stabbed was a service user at the centre which provides housing and support to homeless individuals.
The two injured men, one in his 20s and the others in his 30s, were taken from the scene to Tallaght Hospital. Gardaí have confirmed they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries but are making enquiries relating to the perpetrator of the assault.
In a statement to the Irish Mirror on Tuesday afternoon, a Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of an alleged incident of assault that occurred on James Lane Newbridge, Co Kildare at approximately 12:30pm on Monday, 8th August 2022.
"Two men, one aged in his 20s and another aged in his 30s, were conveyed to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the course of this incident."
Gardaí also confirmed that no arrests have been made but an investigation is ongoing.
The Peter McVerry Trust has been contacted for comment on this story.
