Two men in stable condition after shooting in Brampton, Ont.,

BRAMPTON, Ont. — Peel Region police are appealing for witnesses and searching for suspects after two Brampton, Ont., men aged 28 and 32 were injured in a shooting on Monday afternoon.

Residents in the area (Pluto Drive and Simmons Boulevard) reported hearing eight to 10 shots at about 2 p.m.

One woman told CP24 that she was sitting on her balcony and saw a four-door grey car parked across the street facing in the wrong direction, then heard shots as soon as she went inside.

A man said he was working on a car with his father when gunshots rang out. He said they went inside and saw a grey car speed by at about 100 kilometres an hour.

Police said later Monday that both men were in stable condition with non life-threatening injuries.

The area has been searched for suspects, but there have been no arrests so far. (CTV,CP24)
